In memory of Dr. Viscott, deceased, L.A. psychiatrist, radio host and author. His quote on 52 Minutes to Turning Your Life Around or some such was, "You want to write, but can't get started?" His response was some mathematics. My version; Three to five pages a day, three to five days a week, six months of the year and you have a two hundred plus page manuscript/draft. More than if you never started. That is a conservative number. I surpassed the seven thousand pages after about twenty years of writing. I love to write. Writing allows one to write about what is worth doing, if you can't do what is worth writing about such. I have written about climbing, yoga, finding the proof of the existence of G_d, Judaism, gap years, outer space life in the astro-country, espionage/comedy, mathematics, vitamin therapy therapeautic models for emotive, social, and cognitive wellness, an autobiography, a socio-bio-creative nonfictional work, music theory, guitarmaking, creativity, and the May Fourth/Kent State Shootings/Peace. I also composed approximately three hundred compositions totalling nearly a thousand pages.
It also works w/ a moonlighting job/entrepreneuring. Three to five business moves a day, three to five days a week, ... . Jump in; the water is fine!!!
