Joni Mitchell Influences, Applied Wild Mind.

Joni Mitchell is recovering from a hospital stay. The prognosis is well and good. I cannot help yet to now give credit where credit is due. She was a great influence on my writing. I am free of any sort of name-dropping. I was silently prococious until seven yrs old or so, protesting the dehumanizing Vietnam events in the late sixties and for me more a focal point of the "May Fourth Tragedy." My father had to appear in court over the event having been teaching since 1966 in the Kent State system. I was organiz(s)ing a group to protest at the local elementary school, bearing chains and "native ground" tee-shirts, shirts frayed like tefillah/Indian fringe gypsy-style. I was medicated by the school for the "behavioural issue" of protesting, doctors covering their "backsides." As a member of Mensa today I fit the Troubled Child ... etc. w/ my "crazy ideas." And later I became what one would say a "slave of Ohio" as Tama Jamovitz might have called it as a title in one of her books might derive. The poetry of her albums, radio play, Woodstock "situation," ethic, mores, ideals, counterculture belief systems a non-belief, say systems influenced my decisions of/in life, that as a dream that I kept hid for sorts, as a Jim Croce song (I've Gotta a Dream) echoes. Not to compare much text, words, energy, verse, song, sang/cried a prime response for change, the hippie movement, "escape from freedom," liberation, social justice, Canada as a New World, response to corruption and misuse of power, giving power to the broken arrow movement (see Neil Young) equality of a gifted promise. Words, impeccable of the hippie nature gave hope, survival, dreams manifesting, livelihoods, right livelihoods free from a Clockwork Orange nature, freedom from Agent Orange, like Yiddish has given the Jew survival only by the thin ice of language, folk music spoke a universal language that gave a status of thriving in conditions that threatened condemnation and paranoid control over the generation "lost in space" (Don Mclean). Joni Mitchell's words rang true the events and shadow events metered w/ the freedom of tunings toward love and peace, harmonies, fundamentals, a basis of comfort and caring for life, humans, nature, a oneness where there is resolution thru the events, however expressed by press, radio, television directed by denial, filters, a TV MisGuided, have you. Such events as the transcendental meditation movement and other modes of operation for the flower child to unfold w/, ("en branche"), jewel of the lotus unfolding, yogi, raj, hatha, ... est, energy fields, mantras, vorteces, communes, Beatles, CSN&Y, (come on, people now") ... everyone has their list, ... got through despite the Big Brother we-know-what-is-best-for-you mentality(?), mindset? In the crucible, Joni Mitchell's words, text rang true, the heart amongst the body, soul, breath, spirituality, colaboration, life's work for the one and the many, the many songs of Joni Mitchell cried as anthems, excellence for a world to be taught to sing in perfect harmony. to create one's life as an artform itself, to se change, betterment amongst the peoples of the world. The continue to cry for healing, an end to the denial of a sickened world, a song of joy and peace to be heard for a world healing, wellness, a wealth acknowledging that which people are, a wealth, not measured by coin. That is an incubator for the synergetic fledgling to take to flight, a new-wings order, blackbird, crow, nations to find peace w/ themselves and beyond in a universe boundless ... in love, ... one mother earth in unison, a kingdom, the universe, the "one word/song," a revolution of the garden's return, her response.
