From religion, say Psalms, music/lyrics, novels, events, holidays, from superheroes and villains, real life heroes, tragedy, comedies, responses to life on life's terms, poets/songwriters, Dylan, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Neil Young, Nabokov,B.E. Ellis, Douglas Coupland, language, color, art, instrumental music, epic ebvents in one's life, the subconscious, myth and the past, myth and the future, teachers, friends, enemies (J. Olds, "I have no friends, .. no enemies. I have only teachers."), from successes, better, from "failures," from books on shelves, books never read, books that one wants to read and have not come into manifestation yet. Keep the hand moving. Goldberg; Think of writing as though it were breathing." Treat writing like breathing.

As an N. Goldberg exercise write a list (lists?) of words that you like, words you really like. Integrate these words into your work.

As an exercise write word groups/lists for fields of interest you have and/or want to have. Maybe five to get started? Dig in. Dig it. ... Like a rolling stone!
