Writing Down the Bones; Talking/Practice Ground/Boulder Field

Inspired from readings of N.Goldberg; "Talk is the Exercise Ground." (pp.77-8)
Maybe you have gotten the idea already? Boulder fields or more generally "bouldering" in climbing is the practice ground, the natural gymnasium, pantheistic views perhaps. The climbing school, where the lessons are learned where one develops the skills, talents, capabilities are at the boulder fields, the crags w/ brief, precise, focused technique arenas. You get a chance to practice the fundamentals to the higher technically oriented progressions achieving context dense moves. The point is w/ writing the "talking fields" are the spaces where we get the opportunity to exercise in a maintenance way and beyond.
The concept of regular maintenance like in running to form a base; lower miles/less extremes(moderation) for interval days/long days later over time allows for a stronger foundation to reach, to gain an advantageous grasp on technique, yoda, yoda, yoda finding our own mode, style, strengths, our own "voice." And there are less "injuries." What would have baffled us has now been a welcoming event. We are becoming seasoned.
Exercise includes the first book w/ reputation like tending to be autobiographical for the novel. To me I turned w/ an inflection that the first book was an exercise is process/progress. I gathered the self=esteem (It was early nineties, lots of self-help books.) to gain a viewpoint that I have started, really learned to this point to write a book. Now I needed to grow, produce, "learned how to fish," id est, werite more books. "Been sed" the best books are written after the first or second experiences. Motivation is also frugally not to waste skills, competencies you have spent valuable time developing, practicing growing a "foundation" by abandoning ship. Although @ some time you throw the compass over the rail as Jimmy Buffet sings, Slow Boat to China. Find direction from another source, healthily and hopefully freer having been thru the "Redemption Song" (Bob Marley).
Well-groundedness is a strong position to play the moves out. The chess game gets better w/ more time. Quality time yes, and paying attention to detail, logging time cannot be equaled by reading the "right book." It is a holistic although narrow path. Make the path comfortable, allow more ease in your life. It gets better w/ time, awareness, motivating factors, and talking more and more, listening, yes listening to words, reading, producing, creating more and more. One position to decide to take; An addiction, being active in addiction cries more, more, more. At some time realisation of healthy, active recovery has become a driving force and whole, healthy writing manifests. At least onto the page(s).
For a final concept this lesson; Harvesting from an apple tree, you get pomegranates. This week I have found myself working at marketing ideas and the website. Pomegranate? In came a writer needing his book published on robotics. NYC. O.K. We took him on, got a cover going, started to convert/format, communicated healthily, and set up a plan of events. Keeping an open mind has amazing consequences. I am glad I made the decision to do what I have done. Regrets? Wish I would have started "long before I did." CS & Nash. "Advance (Writing) Fair."
Sex Pistols,"Talk, Talk, Talk."
